Van's Portraits

Jerry has been working in portraiture for the last 21 years. He started photographing weddings and slowly used the people skills developed there to create family portraits. The turning point in Jerry's career came in 1989. He went to Whistler for the Professional Photographers Association of Canada's national convention. It was there that he connected the heart to the camera; to create the portraits with intense feeling and emotional response he is now recognized for. Continued investing in his craft, notably the week long Wall Portrait Conference in Yakima Washington as well as provincial and State conventions have kept Van on a constant learning curve.
